We will be visiting the Mexico Chiapas Ocosingo Program from July 9-14 2023.

The program is implemented by Mennonite Central Committee and local partner IESII (Institute of Intercultural Studies and Research). We will meet with local staff and travel to the program area near San Cristobal de Las Casas to visit with the families and farmers who participate in the program.

Working with indigenous communities in the Central and High regions of Chiapas, Mexico, this program works to increase and diversify organic food production for family consumption, expand water management and access options, and improve soil fertility through training, practical workshops, and inter-community exchanges.

Approximate cost will be $1,500 per person which includes airfare, in-country travel, lodging and meals.  Scholarships are available for individuals under the age of 40.
