New Community Project Provides Training for GreenMark

A new project will bring a variety of Michigan agribusinesses together to make a local and global impact.

The project will benefit Growing Hope Globally, a non-profit organization that brings farming communities in the U.S. together to support agricultural development programs around the world. The programs they support provide tools and training that help people living in hunger to help themselves through agriculture, provide for their families and improve their communities.

GreenMark Equipment, a John Deere Dealer based in Holland, has been a long-time supporter of Growing Hope Globally, contributing to several local Growing Projects. This year, the company started its own Growing Hope project.

“We’ve partnered with Growing Hope for several years, but then decided to start this project out of a desire to train our employees, get some additional exposure for newer employees and to the equipment,” said Mitch Timmerman, vice president of sales for GreenMark.

“It is a nice combination as it allows us to continue to partner with Growing Hope and also have a great training ground for our employees.”
