What’s Happening in Haiti?

Church World Service (CWS) implements two Growing Hope Globally funded programs in the remote Northwest Department of Haiti. CWS staff will highlight the work of local partners and provide an overview of the difficulties facing Haiti today. Join us to learn more about the challenges farming families have faced in recent years and the progress they have made.
Our Speakers
Alex Morse – Alex serves as the Deputy Regional Representative for Latin America and the Caribbean with Church World Service and has been with CWS for the past three years supporting a range of programs and partners across the region. Previously, he was the Regional Director of Latin American and Caribbean Programs with Growing Hope Globally and had the privilege of working alongside programs and growing projects for nearly a decade. He currently lives in Kent, OH with his wife and their two children.
Patrick Nelson – Patrick is the Country Representative in Haiti for Church World Service. Patrick has served in multiple roles over 10+ years working with CWS. Patrick works closely with CWS’ partners located in the Northwest Department that implement the two programs funded by Growing Hope Globally and has provided them with ongoing support during these recent years of challenges. Patrick lives with his family in Port-au-Prince.
