Peru Castrovirreyna Learning Visit

We will visit the Growing Hope Globally supported agricultural development program in the Huancavelica region of Peru during this week-long fast-paced visit from August 1-7, 2026.

We will learn from local partner staff and visit participating communities. Activities will include demonstrations on artisanal cheese production, discussions with families participating in cattle genetic improvement, meetings with producer associations, and household visits to learn about nutrition and hygiene practices.

Please note, this trip will involve an in-country flight, long hours in the car, moderate walking, uneven terrain, and higher altitudes.
